In 2013, I experienced the sudden death of my son while I was out of the country visiting my mother, who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness. I felt overwhelmed by painful emotions, particularly with so many unexpressed thoughts, dreams that were cut short, and a desire for things to have been different.
The Grief Recovery Method® helped me immensely during this time. It allowed me to grieve naturally and effectively, freeing me from the burden of those undelivered communications, dreams, and expectations. This method was so impactful for me that I decided to be trained by the Grief Recovery Institute®. Since then, I have had the privilege of helping many others heal their hearts by providing them with the necessary information and tools. I hold a B.S. in Speech and Language Pathology from the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia and a M.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston. I worked for many years as a Bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist in the private setting and in the Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston. I have advised and led various non-profit organizations since 2003.
I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English and can guide you and your loved ones in either language.
I live with my husband and we have three children, two sons-in-law and two grandsons.
